Lands of Frignano app for iPhone and iPad

The goal of the project is to make known two itineraries centred around two particularly important historical figures, who form part of the historical/cultural identity of our territory, and who are known right across Europe. Matilda of Canossa, whose itinerary around Reggio Emilia and Modena we describe here, and Raimondo Montecuccoli, whose itinerary takes us through the territory of Modena only. The fame of both of these personages extends beyond the local setting to become part of Europe’s history.
So, at the end of the day, the project’s main aim is to increase promotion and awareness of the two tourist itineraries centred around the figures of Matilda of Canossa and Raimondo Montecuccoli, with a view to improving the visibility of these tourist routes. This will be achieved via some eye-catching signposting for tourists while providing visitors with a communicative support service using modern technology, from audioguides to the creation of Free WIFI zones in order to access Internet but not only. In this way it will become easier for visitors/tourists to discover the history and culture of these two personages, immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the territory, while being guided to discover cultural, historical and architectural treasures. To discover not only the beauty of nature, but also the warm welcome of lands abounding in culture, different environments, and unique agro-food and typical artisan products.
